Panoramic Photo and View : Without Wide Lens

Briliant... thats what i wanna say to the improvement of Canon technology right now. Tools every where, gadgets make everythings look simple and easy. Thats what was happen in Canon powershot. Now we are talk about panoramic photograph... some photo like a landspace photo but its take almost 180 degree view or more into your image/ photo, just like what your eye see-i like this quote "what you see is what you get".

Make panoramic photograph for adventures is great idea. But ofcourse need a great tools too.. like DSLR Camera and wide angle lens to take an panoramic view. what do you think? ofsourse not all of us had all of the stuff. so what we gonna do? ending the trip? easy guys.. the journey must goes on even without an wide angle lens.

here some fuction of wide lens & tips for panoramic photo:

1. Wide coverage, but there are negative aspects

Will be a lot of elements / detail who is useless entry within the frame
There will be a detail of compressed so it's easy to lose detail, especially in the  farthest element.

solution- a lot of practice isolation techniques
- choosing subjects who practiced a lot more simple
- a lot of practice impact the composition of the foreground

2. Distortion of perspective, a weakness and also at the same excess
These elements have a lot of practice looking for an area / point of critical and safe, plenty of practice and safe critical distance

- Point / critical areas and secure is a placement which does not affect the distortion effects and impact. for example we put a human face in the middle frame so the face is not distorted

- Critical distance and safe, all the lenses on the basis of distortion, but there will always be a distance where the distortion is not so visible or no impact. as placing the main subject even further, so that only the foreground who distortion / the forefront of any

- This aspect will also give the impression of a more dramatic picture, with the "tilt" tilt / looking up or looking up up down

now i'm talking about how to make an panoramic photograph without an wide angle lens in your hands. like what i say "briliant" thats what technology done. if you have and adobe photoshop cs3 in your computer/ laptop you can use that program to make an panoramic view without an wide angle lens. or if you wanna free software you can use "hugin-panorama photo stitcher".

before continuing to the software, first i want to tell how to make a preparation of your image to get merge.
1. prepare your camera
2. seting your mode to the picture you wanted to
3. just taking your picture from side to side (left to right or other)
4. while geting a picture surely you must see that your picture is having the same side about 20-30 % of the image before. here i give an ilustration

do not 100% taking another picture without giving attention, give it about 30% image of the object before.

r your image taken, you can merge it with the software i said above.
When you use cs3 the tools is in file-automate-photomerge, just pick your image that you want to merge then oke. or when you use hugin photo its just the same like cs3 but its a free software that based on Linux (GPL-opensource) maybe some of use need a little introduction to it. but its not a big deal. the both of them is really god application to photo merge programs/ tool.

just enjoy the merging and make a great panoramic photo, so...
just be like a pro
